Dr Nibras hands down is the best Dentist that I have ever met. I was having a tooth ache for almost 6 months and I had visited couple of other dentists before but that did not help me. Later one of my friend suggested Dr Niras. I visited her and in couple of appointments she helped me recover the toothache. She is very down to earth and makes the patient very comfortable and does not rush. I would highly recommend any one with any dental probem to visit Dr NIbras.

FAQs

How long does it take to recover from a root canal?

The time it takes for a root canal to heal depends on a few factors, including the severity of infection and the type of procedure used. Generally speaking, most root canals will take anywhere from one week to two weeks to fully heal, but in some cases, it can take longer.

What are the rules after a root canal?

You can brush and floss as usual, but make sure to be gentle around the treated area. Avoid chewing on hard foods or using the treated tooth for biting down heavily until you’ve been cleared by your endodontist or dentist. You should not chew, drink hot or cold liquids, or smoke for the first hour.

How long do you keep a tooth after a root canal?

With proper care, even teeth that have had root canal treatment can last a lifetime. But sometimes, a tooth that has been treated doesn’t heal properly and can become painful or diseased months or even years after treatment. If your tooth failed to heal or develops new problems, you have a second chance.

Can I drink water right after a root canal?

You can drink cold and warm beverages before the numbness has subsided, but wait at least 30 to 40 minutes after your root canal to ensure that the temporary filling has hardened. You will be able to drive yourself home from our office after your root canal and, if you’d like, you can return to work.

How painful is a root canal?

A modern root canal treatment is nothing like those old sayings! It’s very similar to a routine filling and can usually be completed in one or two appointments, depending on the condition of your tooth and your personal circumstances. Getting a root canal is relatively painless and extremely effective.

What is not allowed after root canal?

Very hot and very cold foods and beverages, which can irritate sensitive teeth. Sticky foods like gum, caramels, and other candies. Chewy foods like steak and crusty bread. Hard foods like nuts.6
